The Handy-Hooker Canoe and Kayak Storage Hoist provides simple and secure single person operation for any canoe or kayak weighing up to 150 lbs. Patented mechanism with 3:1 mechanical advantage lifts canoes and kayaks with ease and with its simple 2 screw installation, it is the only hoist that provides a vertical stacking solution of multiple canoes or kayaks (additional hoist and cradle required for each canoe and/or kayak to be stored). Installation requires only two drilled holes and a 1/2" socket wrench! Rust-resistant components for indoor or outdoor use from all ceilings or structures up to 20' tall (standard product is for up to 10 ft ceilings). The separate purchase of our Hull Cradle system is recommended for use with our Canoe & Kayak Hoist for the storage of most kayaks and some canoes that may be prone to warpage if hung from their ends without additional support.
Independent pulley blocks allow installation across ceiling obstructions such as beams, ducts, or soffits!

Unlike rope, cable, and cleat storage products, our canoe and kayak hoist product cannot be accidentally released and the straps do not easily tangle, wear, or break. The release button and release cord move with the canoe or kayak, staying out of the reach of children while providing controllable height adjustment for adults. This also provides the ability to guide kayaks or canoes down to the ground slowly and safely, while providing single person operation from each end of the canoe or kayak.

Our canoe and kayak hoist and storage system installs directly into rafters or joists and does not require the additional installation of 2" x 4" lumber for mounting (though some may prefer to install it this way). Simply locate suitable mounting locations for each of the pulley blocks, mark and predrill two holes and install the aluminum pulley blocks using the two included lag screws (1/2" socket required). No separate cleat or complicated pulley tracking installation is required, making it the easiest lifting system for kayaks and canoes available. We guarantee the Handy-Hooker Canoe and Kayak Hoist to be easier to install and more secure than all other kayak and canoe lifts on the market. Our canoe and kayak hoist works like a more heavy duty block and tackle lifting device making it easy for anyone to lift even the heaviest kayaks and canoes.
The included canoe and kayak hoist strap assemblies are designed to lift and store all canoes and kayaks up to 150 lbs. Actual lifting strength may vary by location of installation and assumes that lag screws are properly installed and centered into a suitable structure. The included lag screws are designed for direct installation into a suitable joist or beam or onto a finished ceiling with a maximum drywall, plaster, or stucco thickness of 1/2". When installing through thicker finished ceilings we recommend purchasing longer galvanized lag screws at a local hardware store. It is important to make sure that the framing or structure that the hoists straps are installed onto are capable of supporting the full weight of the stored canoe or kayak. Available for ceilings up to 20 feet! Our standard hoist length is optimized for ceilings up to 10 feet tall. When ordering custom lengths for tall ceilings, please note that the connection point on the canoe or kayak is typically around 1 ft above ground. If using this product with our Hull Cradle System, the cradle straps add several more inches of stretch to the system during normal use. Therefore, there is no advantage to ordering more length than needed for your ceiling height.
