The Patented Design of The Load Lock® FASTener

In the open position, the locking mechanism pivots counter-clockwise, allowing the strap to freely slide through the Load Lock®. Any hand tightening of the strap (as indicated by pulling in the direction of the black arrow in Fig. 1 above), maintains this open position without causing unnecessary strap wear.

When in the closed position, the locking mechanism pivots clockwise, engaging the strap in two places (as indicated by the red circles in Fig. 2 above) without the use of a closing spring. Any load on the strap (as indicated by the direction of the black arrow above), maintains this closed position until either the strap is further tightened by pulling on the strap as in Fig. 1, or the release button is pressed and held down (as indicated by the red arrow in Fig. 2 above).
